CODEBIT INC. ("we", "our", or "us") developed the Menu Mate app as a Freemium app with optional subscription services. This SERVICE is provided by CODEBIT INC. at no cost for basic features and is intended for use as is.

Menu Images and Translation Data

When you upload menu images for translation, we process these images on our secure servers to provide translation and dish information. Images are temporarily processed on our servers and are immediately deleted after processing is complete. We do not store any images, allergen information, or dietary preferences on our servers.

All translation history and results are stored locally on your device only and are not backed up to our servers. If you uninstall the app, this history will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Advertising

Menu Mate offers a freemium model with advertisements shown to non-premium users. We use third-party advertising services to show advertisements within the app. These ad services may use information about your visits to this and other apps to provide advertisements about products and services that may interest you.

Premium subscriptions remove advertisements and provide additional features.

Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your translation history is stored exclusively on your local device and is not synced to the cloud or our servers. This data remains completely under your control and is automatically deleted if you uninstall the app.

Data Retention

We retain minimal personal information to provide the service, and we do not store any user-specific data on our servers. All user data, including translation history, is stored locally on your device.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include:

We serve as the data controller for your personal information. The legal basis for processing your information is typically the performance of our agreement to provide you with our Services, our legitimate interests, your consent, or to fulfill our legal obligations.

App Tracking Transparency

In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, we will request permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for the purposes of advertising or sharing with data brokers. You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time.
